After almost 30 years, leather manufacturers Fritz Ahrens and Holger Hechtenberg of Pyrate Style have acquired a wide knowledge of hand-crafted leatherwork.

To create new space for innovative ideas and products besides the successful brand of “Pyrate Style,” they founded the new label, “Das ATELIER HAMBURG,” in spring of 2012. The product range of high-quality leather belts and individually designed belt buckles made from sterling silver is presented in the atmosphere of a workshop. In this workshop you can experience the process of how the leather products are made: a workbench, tools for embossing the leather and leather samples in various colours and qualities create an authentic atmosphere.

What the creators have in mind, above all, is for customers to experience leather, with all their senses.
