Until the end of the year, you can enter new dimensions of oriental carpets at Studio Samira Nami in the GALLERIA.

Nominated for the German Design Award 2015, Samira Nami has already shown that her reinterpretation is something special in the world of oriental carpets. In 2022, the qualified textile designer even received the Carolina D’amico Young Talent Award for her work.

Studio Samira Nami’s first products and therefore also the centerpiece are the (felt) rugs for the wall and for the floor. With her modern design, which is influenced by Nami’s own European and oriental culture, she skillfully puts the timeless classic ‘oriental rug’ in a new light. These unique pieces not only build a bridge between the Occident and the Orient, but also between the past and the future. The antique ornaments of the oriental rugs have been greatly altered and adapted to the present day with modern colors.

Unlike classic oriental carpets, the felt square carpets impress with their simplicity, two-tone colors and minimalist appearance.

They are produced using the screen printing technique, making each rug unique – a work of art in its own right. The products are made in Hamburg from pure wool felt. Another highlight: all products are reversible rugs and can therefore change the mood and effect of a room in the blink of an eye.
